The Auxiliary is 60 years young and still growing to meet the needs of Mendota Community Hospital. The focus of the Auxiliary is to assist the hospital through volunteer fundraising.
Voting membership in the Auxiliary is open to any individual contributing $10.00 or more per annum. Other Memberships include:
- General member with dues of $10.00 per annum. Life member upon
contributing the sum of $100.00. - Life member upon contributing the sum of $25.00 for four (4) consecutive years.
- Patron member upon contributing the sum of $500.00.
- Patron member upon contributing the sum of $100.00 for five (5) consecutive years.
- Sustaining member with dues of $20.00 annually.
Annual memberships are payable in March of each year.
The annual meeting of the Auxiliary is held in April usually in conjunction with Volunteer Awareness Week. A quorum at the annual meeting shall consist of (6) members. During this meeting the Auxiliary presents its annual check to the hospital representing funds raised throughout the previous year.
The Auxiliary Board consists of voting members comprised of Project and Program coordinators which include but are not limited to:

Gift Shop
Meals-On-Wheels
Membership
Special Projects
Volunteers
Auxiliary Board meetings are held quarterly. Special meetings may be called by any Project and Program Coordinator.

Monday – Friday from
9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
and on some weekends
The gift shop depends on volunteers to work in the shop. There
will be times when the gift shop is not open when a volunteer is not available.
(If you are interested in volunteering to work in the gift shop please contact the hospital).
All proceeds from sales in the gift shop benefit the hospital.
The Gift Shop has a wide variety of gift items for men, women, and children. In additional the gift shop carries:
candy
gum
cards
personal hygiene items
cutlery
gently used paper back books
postage stamps.
Currently the Auxiliary’s Anniversary Cookbook is available in the shop.
